The aim of the exhibition is to communicate the commitment and fruits of Miyazaki Chair Factory to visitors from all over the world, and the chairs include the most recent works of Makoto Koizumi and Kazuteru Murasawa, designers who have been continuing workshop-style product developments for 14 years, of Inoda+Sveje based in Milan, and of Kai Kristiansen based in Denmark. 13 themes from the context of manufacturing and the same number of chairs will be displayed at the venue. The themes are “Indigo Dyeing,” “Bend,” “Carve,” “Upholster,” “Joint,” “Knock-down,” and so on. Please come and see “the inimitable chair making made possible by the integration of handwork and machine processing.”
