Monster in the spotlight - A Ducati shadow art performance

Designing a legend: Ducati design as told by the Monster 1200 Ducati, that prestigious iconic brand, the pinnacle of design ‘Made in Italy’ in the world of international motorcycling, will be taking part in “Milan Design Week”, scheduled for 8th to 13th April 2014. Its presence there is important and also highlights the attention the motorcycling manufacturer from Borgo Panigale has always given to art and design. Like in the world of design, where the work of designers takes light and shade into account, Ducati and IED will offer a multi-sensory journey: in the show there are some shadow art installations, a form of sculpture that doesn’t form shapes with materials but casts shadows to reveal an undisputed symbol of style and personality such as the new Monster 1200; a projection of light and shade enriched with sounds which comes together to produce installations that interact with the environment and take on new meanings.
The journey is further enhanced by the venue chosen: the Mediateca di Santa Teresa; a place that tastefully combines history and modernity and is the perfect setting for a bike, the Ducati Monster, which has always represented the union of tradition and innovation.
