Some forty Swedish designers and companies will move into the art noveau palace La Posteria in the Brera District during the vibrant Milano week April 8-13 under the theme IN REAL LIFE, inviting the world to share what goes on today in Sweden within contemporary design, food, music and lifestyle. There will be new products, live meetings and meals with Swedish feeling contrasting the Italian architecture.
Swedish Design Goes Milan 2014 is collaboration between Business Sweden, VisitSweden and Svensk Form. The Swedish Government is actively working to strengthen the cultural and creative industries, and to increase the Swedish export in this sector, as well as presenting an image of contemporary Sweden. Svensk Form is an independent design promotion society with an international presence, and publisher of Form magazine on Nordic architecture and design. The magazine will be present, and the editors will make podcast interviews and artists’ talks.
The Stockholm based design studio FORM US WITH LOVE have curated the theme and the selection. FORM US WITH LOVE are known for their unconventional methods of collaborations with product development and companies of everyday objects, furniture and lighting
