One of the first companies to move in this direction, Valcucine opens up to the shared experimentation of innovation models followed by tackling new production processes based on open source design. Once again, the company based in Friuli adopts a novel way of encouraging the return to handicraft expertise, to the ability to make connections and to create.
In Valcucine, sustainability is the real driving force behind innovation and, on the assumption that, in the future, the transfer of goods will be surpassed by the transmission of information, by means of Kitchen Becomes Open! care of dotdotdot during the Fuorisalone 2014 event, Valcucine will start on a new, pioneering path linked to a novel way of innovating, designing, producing and even transporting products.
In the Valcucine showroom in the Brera Design District of Milan, a total of ten makers and designers selected by Valcucine and dotdotdot by means of a call online will participate in a workshop on the “open source kitchen” during which they will design new elements, accessories and create new interactions for the Meccanica kitchen model by the Demode engineered by Valcucine brand.

a) riporre speciale attenzione nel produrre con il minor consumo di materie prime ed energia;
b) realizzare i prodotti con materiali riciclabili;
c) ridurre le emissioni tossiche e le sostanze chimiche inquinanti, sia in fase di produzione che di utilizzo;
d) garantire una lunga durata del prodotto.
